Junior training sessions run throughout the hockey season from September to April
Sessions are on Saturday mornings at the All-weather pitch in Okehampton
Children ages 5-8 years old can sign up to Hockey Heros course - contact us for details
School years 4 to 7 are from 10am -11 am
School years 8 & 9 are from 11am-12noon
The sessions are run by England Hockey level 2 coaches from the Club with Level 1 coaches and volunteers assisting.
Under 10, 12 and 14 girls and boys teams are entered into the Devon Leagues. Fixtures are played on several Sundays throughout the season
(Note: These age-based groupings are for guidance only. Your coach may ask you to join the senior group depending on your progress and experience).
Shinpads and gum shields mandatory
All junior players should subscribe to Okehampton Hockey Club using our Teamo App
Junior Subscriptions: £30 per season
Coaching Session: £3 per session
If sessions cannot go ahead due to pitch or weather conditions a message will be sent out on the Teamo app on the relevant whatsapp groups by 9.00 am.
